Design of a Sustainable Development Reporting Tool

The City of Lévis asked Groupe DDM to devise a functional tool that would allow it to report effectively and consistently, each year, on the progress made with the sustainable development action plan (SDAP) adopted in 2012. The reporting tool consists in two products: an assessment matrix and an annual review. The matrix is used to highlight the outcomes of SDAP actions, which are sorted and weighted according to their underlying objectives and guidelines. Progress is measured using assessment grids. The matrix automatically generates a series of diagrams illustrating the results to different scales. These results are updated every year and incorporated into a review, divided according to the topics normally addressed in a sustainable development assessment process.
